The War Within” Photograph Included in

13th Biennial Ontario Open Art Exhibition

The Ontario Museum of History & Art and the Ontario Museum Associates selected my photograph, “The War Within” for inclusion in the 13th Biennial Ontario Open Art Exhibition, a juried group exhibition that features contemporary artists from across Southern California. The exhibition displays work from over 150 artists, offering visitors a chance to experience artwork in a variety of mediums, from oil paintings, ceramics and watercolor to photography, collage, encaustic, cyanotype, and woodcut prints.

The War Within visually explores urban destruction and decay through a building that is being torn down. This photograph was made as a response to the way in which history is erased as old structures in Southern California are replaced by gentrified high-rise apartments and burned down by wildfires.
